Job Description:      

Job Summary:

 As a Technical Marketing Engineer you work to create technical content for NetApp products and solutions that are targeted to Customers, Field Tech Teams and Partners. The engineer will work with Product Management as well as Product and Solutions Engineering on projects that support the company's current and future strategies related to their specific area of technical expertise. You may also work with third-party vendor organizations as required to achieve corporate goals in regards to product integration and best practices.

Essential Functions:

• -Builds technical capability across NetApp and Partner technologies.
  
  
  - You will be responsible for developing components of technical collateral in project related technologies to highlight best practices, including contributing to architectural design work, lab testing, and publishing documentation. This includes contributing to design, deployment and integration guides for products, solutions and reference architectures.
  
  
  - You will contribute to projects working with cross-functional and intra-department teams with supervision. You are accountable for the quality of the tasks. This may include learning and contributing to Partner integrations highlighting NetApp technologies.
  
  
  - Education and self development

Create a development plan with manager guidance. Proactively learn NetApp and Partner technologies by investing in NetApp University, Partner and other training curriculum to complete the development plan.

• Influence the direction of activities with your Team, Project Stakeholders and Partners
• You will learn and understand technical strategy of your assigned projects. This includes participating in cross functional teams to review product and solution roadmaps.- Participate in lab management functions as required to maintain the engineers lab equipment setup and tear down. This may include providing specific information for equipment procurement.
• The types of tasks this individual is responsible for are well defined and utilize and build understanding of standard principals and practices within a team environment.
• Interaction: - This individual interacts primarily with their direct manager and the technical team on assigned projects, and may communicate with employees in other functions as required.
• Regular and detailed direction is provided, as well as on-going review of activities and priorities.
• This individual will be an important contributor to team projects.

• Good verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to contribute to delivery of training materials and/or other group communications in a clear and professional manner.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships within the department on project related tasks.
• Ability to work on technical issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation.
• Solve technical problems within the scope of the project, with technical or management assistance,

Responsibility and Interaction:

• No prior experience is required. Most new employees in this position have 0-2 years experience.
• A Bachelor of Science or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience is required
• Generally, a Product & Partner Engineer at this level is learning the practical basics of marketing in an environment where they can be an important contributor.
• General understanding of storage technologies and NetApp Solutions is preferable.
